The insidious menace already among us.

The challenge was to take the top 3 most emailed photos on yahoo and create a hopefully amusing story about the sequence. I reserve the right to refuse a disturbing picture, this includes any pictures of celine dion.

<Lauren> I just don't feel very funny today.
<guyPaulo> Cheer up Lauren, your cations are still "a few of my favorite things." BTW, how's your dog?
<Lauren> Thanks, guy.

Stop reading here if you don't want to hear something depressing. The news wasn't good. Now I have to decide whether I am going to try to come up with $7-10,000 to attempt limb-sparing surgery and chemotherapy that, most likely, will buy my little boy a year or two; spend $1,000 to have the leg amputated to keep him going another 6 months to a year; or just wait until he starts to have pain and euthanize him.
Amputation and chemo would cost just $1,000 less than trying to save the leg, so I am not even considering that.

Of course, there is always the possibility that the tumor will just sit there and not do anything for a while, but it looks bigger today than it did on Monday when I first noticed it.

<???> I'm sorry Lauren....I think you have to consider the little guy's quality of life after an ongoing chemotherapy treatment. Its going to be a hard decision for sure, no matter what you do. Just follow you heart, as cheesy as that sounds....
<guyPaulo> Oops, forgot to change my name from ???. I guess that ends my career as a ghost-monkey....
<Lauren> I know, ??? (that is you, isn't it, Mort?). The dog is a genetically defective shepherd (recessive white born to two black and tan parents) and has had all kinds of (very expensive) medical issues since day one. He is just four years old and, although he is a very sweet and happy boy, he is also very quirky emotionally and I doubt he could handle the rigors of chemo.
<Mort> ??? is guyPaulo.
You are not going to win today Lauren if you make me cry reading your comments, you should try talking about these things under guyPaulo's captions.
I love dogs so much. Everyday I wish I could afford to buy a house or a condo so I could have a dog. I don't know what I would do in your situation, there are no wise words for choices like these.
