I added something in the pull down, let me know if you understand or not.

<Lauren> Mort, thanks for using that first pic today. When you used the second pic a few days ago, I couldn't figure out the biomechanics of that guy's injury. Now I know. |
<mypalmike> Actually, I think it's 2 different guys |
<Mort> Yeh it is 2 different guys. Btw let me know what you think of the new feature. I ain't sure if I will keep it yet. |
<Lauren> Mort, if you are talking about the rating system you installed, I am conflicted. I like being able to see how many comments are on each alternative caption. You don't, however, get enough responses on each to make statistical analyses valid and in some cases it can be downright misleading. As you saw yesterday, one person can go through and skew the entire field for no apparent reason (or for purely evil purposes). |

<Lauren> Oh, yeah, and I could tell it was two different guys, but if you look at how the man in the first pic is holding his left arm, you can totally see the set up for what happened in the second pic. |

<Axolotl> The rating system worries me. I used to chose rank depending on the facial expression on the moneky instead of the score. The "middling" monkey looks surprised or worried, but I haven't used is a criticism. And I'm worried that scored will bring clichés and tactical voting. What about only using scores on Guest days? |

<Mort> Yes they are both elbow dislocations, which is the only reason I am not currently a world class weightlifter. I'm just testing ideas. I do not like rating systems, they tend to ruin things. I am thinking of keeping the ratings hidden, but ordering the list by the ratings.

<guyPaulo> Mort, maybe you should include a non-weighted rank. Some of us like to just post comments back and forth on alternative captions and I don't want to have that exchange affect a captions rating. |
<David Byrden> What's the problem? Just write some software that chooses the best one. |
<Mort> guyPaulo - yup I have needed that for a while... David Byrden - Ok will do, I'll base it on the number of times the word "pussy" gets used. |
<yoyology> I agree with Paulo. I often (pussy) comment on my own (pussy) alternatives as a way of clarifying or (pussy) adding additional infor(pussy)mation that would (pussy) detract from the captions themselves. Oh, and pussy. |
