Description

The challenge was to take the top 3 most emailed photos on yahoo and create a hopefully amusing story about the sequence. I reserve the right to refuse a disturbing picture, this includes any pictures of celine dion.

<Kumiho> I had a weird dream last night, that Mort let one of the other Monkies run this site on weekend on a rotating basis, but instead of pictures y'all posted singe words that me then had to make work together, and each person tried to find stranger and stranger words. Someone mentioned the other day that it was strange that people dream about MEP. I agree... but I'm honored to be haunting your subconscious.

<guyPaulo> Mort does need to let us run MEP on the weekends though! As it is now, I have 2 WHOLE DAYS per week in which I actually have to do stuff and interact with real people instead of come here. It starting to suck.

<gorillaPaulo> I understand if you don't want to allow ftp access to MEP itself, Mort. But maybe you could set up a sister-site, just for weekend usage, and make it easy to for visitors to jump from regularMEP over to weekendMEP. Maybe like a day-sensitive javascript that redirects visitors at mostemailed.xidus.net over to "weekendMEP.net" on Saturday and Sunday. Then you could give the ftp info to the guest-gorilla of the week. Set it up where we could just transfer "Img1" "Img2 and "Img3" without having to touch the scary php stuff.

<Mort> It's simpler than that. I just need to set up a different form where you can upload the images as well as input the captions.

Then write a little documentation, and extra hair and blood for voodoo dolls in case of trouble...

<obtuse> Why not just preselect images from the Friday crop (doesn't have to be top 3), and have a default caption like Wednesdays? Call it Free-For-All Weekends or something.
