Ok so I might have noticed quite a bit of meta humour recently. I know I am mainly to blame, because of the whole "snow" thing. So I will let you all get it our of your system today.
In jokes rule the day!

<mypalmike> That monkie is definitely saying "Hear Ye! Hear Ye!". No doubt about that. |
<3Suns> Wow, there actually was a Celine Dion picture for Mort to censor today! And a mighty disturbing one at that. And here I thought she was washed up... guess not for all tose Canadian Yahoos. |
<Lauren> Holy hip bones, you're right 3Suns! And a most disturbing photo it is. Her hairdresser and costume designer need to be flogged (even if the task before them was daunting). I would like to thank Mort for using his discretionary right to censor this and any other photos of CD. |
<Lauren> mike, I think the monkey is asking where that clogged drain is..... |
<Pedro Gonzales> Ha ha! Elvis really looks as though he has been caught in the act!! |
<Chalupa Diablo> Mort, can you remove one of my double comments on my entry? Either my computer, myself (or both) were behaving stupidly. |
<Mort> Done. I was just thinking that Mostemailedphotopia sounds more like the land of Most Emailed Pho, which doesn't sound so tasty. |
<3Suns> I'm stuck at home with the flu and getting hungry for lunch. Mort, would you mind emailing me some chicken pho? |
<ElvisThePelvis> Oh man, I am caption fodder. |
<ElvisThePelvis> HAPPY META DAY! |
<yoyology> I think we should go the acronym route and call it the land of MOP. |
<ElvisThePelvis> yoyo, thanks for the links to the pencil sketches, I looked all over linkfilter (I thought). Well, now at least I can rest easy tonight. |
<Axolotl> Then the citizens would be moops! And George would finally be right. |
<guyPaulo> I wrote "Mosteimldfotos" yesterday because it sounded like some kind of kinky Greek island. |
<guyPaulo> Mort, I just noticed that I couldn't submit a caption when using the Mozilla browser. |
<Mort> guyPaulo - I will test that, but I use firebird all the time and it's mozilla also. |
<yoyology> Mozilla'dphotos.com! |
<guyPaulo> Actually, I got stuck right before the "Preview" screen. After you click "Add..." and enter your text, there's the button for "Preview." At that point, I would click it, but it would never actaully go to the real preview screen. |
<guyPaulo> Oops! Mozilla didn't work because I didn't enter my name in the "alt" screen. IE always remebers who I am here, so I'm not used to having to enter my name. Problem solved. |
<Mort> Yeh it would be nice if I could be bothered to make nice error messages. Like you didn't enter your name stupid. |
<Lauren> TRUE CONFESSION: For at least two or three weeks after I discovered this site, I thought outsiders must be barred from making captions because I couldn't get mine to post. I searched in vain for some sort of 'join this site' button until I noticed the 'name' box. |
<Lauren> P.S.: I am not even blonde, at least not naturally so. |
<guyPaulo> See Mort! I'm not the only one! |
<Mort> Of course, the current system makes spoofing extremely easy. |
<guyPaulo> Oh, yes. I agree completely. |
<Lauren> It's a terrible security risk. |
<ElvisThePelvis> Luckily, the stalwart users of mostemailed.com are far too honest to engage in that sort of thing. |
<yoyology> *snicker* |
<Lauren, the real one> You are evil even to have thought of that, yoyo. This was from yoyo, right? |
<ElvisThePelvis> Damnit, now I am losing control of my identity. I am organizing book and playing with yoyos instead of disorganizing things and playing with legos... |
<yoyology> Pay no attention to the librarian behind the curtain. |
<Mort> Do you want me to code up users and passwords and accounts and security? I thought I could leave it nice and open, but maybe you can't be trusted. |
<mypalmike> Mmmm. Chicken pho. |
<yoyology> I'll be good, Mort. I promise. |
<Lauren> What is it with monkies making promises they know they won't keep today? First it was guyPaulo promising no more haiku and now yoyo is promising to be 'good.' Next thing you know, Elvis will be promising to stay out of the captions, and we all know he has no control whatsoever over that nasty habit of his. |
<yoyology> I promise not to beat Lauren with a big rubber chicken. *smack* *swat* *bokbok* *eek* *thud* Damn. There I go. |
<Lauren> bokbok? |
<guyPaulo> I would vote NO to a password protected system, if my vote counts for anything. |
<yoyology> bokbok - int. [bawk-bawk] Distress call of the Greater North American Rubberized Chicken. |
<MLimburg> buk-GEEERK! |
<MLimburg> It's like a family in here, like the net used to be |
