Ah! Sweet goddess of melancholy I pray before your black altar of nihilism. I feel special, but I know that billions of people feel just as special. As I realize that, I feel as unique a grain of rice in a European food surplus silo. Nothing I think or do is unique, someone has always been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Even that last sentense is just a re-hash of someone else's clever prose. I used to think I could come up with something to say that noone had ever said before, like "Doh! I left the iron in the fridge again!". But someone else probably got there first and beat me in saying such a silly line. So if this is all just common and pointless, then what is the point? Well if it amuses and entertains me, then I might as well be happy as I wallow in the pool of the mundane. |
