I spent the winter in Canada doing archaeological research.

There's really not much to do in Canada during winter. I kind of went stir crazy.

The boredom might explain why my buddies were able to convince me to go over Niagara Falls in a barrell.

<Frank> Anyone seen the tattoo/piercing videos on bodmodzone.com? are they worth watching?
<David Byrden> Please define what you mean by 'worth'.
<ajiav> I am producing a series of temporary tattoo and clip-on jewelry videos that will soon available for purchase.
<ajiav> oh, and what is that called when they put the hooks into their back and swing from the ceiling? that, too, but similarly child-proofed.
<yoyology> We call that a party.
<ajiav> I once ended up at a tattoo parlour in the middle of the night that had people swinging from hooks in the ceiling. I had seen similar things in movies about Native Americans, but there it was made to look like it had some kind of spiritual significance tied into 'becoming a warrior.'

I just remember some guy in a Sooners cap yelling, "See! Us Rednecks like to have fun, too!"

I try to avoid young people anymore.

<Kumiho> I'm sorry to hear that, since I think I still qualify as a "young'n". And ajiav, you're right, Sitting Bull's people did the whole hooks in the skin thing as part of the Sundance/revitalization of of the native culture thing, and I believe it's still practised in some reservations to this day. Although the Indian Bureau actively discourages it as a major health risk.
<David Byrden> I find that story VERY disturbing... you met a man so far down a wrong, twisted path of perversion that he says 'US' instead of 'WE'.
<mypalmike> Hey, it's yoyo.
<mypalmike> I cheated to get mine to the top. I feel... sooo... cheap.
