<Mel Gibson> Congratulations on your wonderful web page. Of course, today will be a good day. I plan to watch my movie, "The Passion of the Christ," about five times. You should watch it too. |

<mypalmike> I had a dream last night that there was a mostemailed meetup in Montreal. It was at an art gallery, and I brought some art to show, which looked basically like stick figures. I was there first, and when MEP people started to arrive, nobody wore name tags and nobody said their names, but we all talked as if we knew each other. My piece of art was a focal point for MEP captioning jokes. For some reason, everyone independently came up with the same joke about menstruation after looking at my art. After hearing it like 5 times, I started ranting about how everyone was so crass at MEP. Later, I was talking to Carol, I think, and I noticed she had a Toastmasters pin. I asked if she was involved in Toastmassters, and she stood up and flipped the the table we were sitting at towards me, apparently trying to hit me with it. Later on, I think guy and the friend he dragged along asked me if I knew the bus system in Montreal, because they thought the meetup was lame and they wanted to go out drinking. |
<Carol> Wow, maybe I should join Toastmasters! Do they teach table-throwing? |
<mypalmike> Hmm, they do something called "table topics", but it doesn't generally get violent. |
<apple juice is a verb> I love that people have dreams about MEP. It is the strangest thing... |
<ajiav> I posted some very old 4-track improvisations here: ...www.soundclick.com... |
<Kumiho> Gee, awefully slow today. Is everyone taking off early for Easter? |
<mypalmike> [echoing] early for easter?... early for easter?... early for easter?... |
<Mark> Sorry I've been away for the past week .. things are getting crazy over here. I expect things (and my bloody PC) to settle down very soon, and I can return to weaving my own brand of minimal insanity. Mark's Minimal Insanity (TM) -- Insist On It! |
<Kumiho> ::long loving look at MEP:: Pity it is a weekend, I'm going to miss the challenge of captioning for the next few days. |
<mypalmike> Maybe one of us should set up a weekend-only MEP site. |
<3Suns> Geez, did someone link here from some popular site? There's lke 25 lurkers in the 10-minute list! |
<obtuse> Happens every now and then. Might be a google spider or something... |
<guyPaulo> A spider?!? ACKKKKk!!! Quick, someone stomp it with your shoe!!! Bada-bing! I'll be here all week folks. |
<Anne Emmenthal> Mr. Gibson, thank you for making a movie out of that story I wrote (which, I must admit, was loosely based on an idea from the Gospels). |
<jordie3> A friend of mine is in Toastmasters, and got second place or something in a recent thingy. She is sort of like the chick who takes over for Miss America if Miss America does anything stupid and they revoke her title. Only my friend is this for Toastmasters. I am stull not entirely sure what they do there. Also, this is an exceedingly wonderful caption. |
<jordie3> still. I am STILL not entirely sure what they do there. MY GOD WHY CAN'T I PROOFREAD? |
