It was a serious faux pas. I meant to shake her hand, but I stumbled at the last moment. Mortified, I expected to be slapped senseless, but then I saw her giggle.

I spent the next 5 weeks "waxing my ol' Scottish sword", thinking about the encounter. It was the pinnacle of my life. Summoning all my courage, I called her up for a date, and she agreed. I was as happy as I had ever been.

Sadly, I was easten by cheetahs the next day.
