Reality television hit a new nadir when Fox debuted "Sons of Bitches" a weekly reality show based on the adventures of an elderly basset hound, and a mutt with Down's Syndrome.

Not to be outdone, NBC sought to reap synergies with its loyal gay audience by creating "Madame Pussycat," based on the real-life adventures of a transvestite tom-cat, and filling the time-spot immediately after Will & Grace.

CBS was once again caught napping, and hurried to market with "Whisker City," an ongoing reality serial based on the life of an alleycat living in Queens, New York.
