She tended to spit and hack when she talked. All the glass in our house was flecked with dried spittle and phlegm.

She was also heavily pierced and covered with tats. She smelled bad and exhibited the advanced stages of gingivitis with the wasting away of her teeth and tounge.

Of course, I was no winner either...and I had the penis of a small monkey.

Lowered expectations indeed.
